Nicky has sewn and crafted from an early age. When our daughter, Annie, opened our shop Cleggs in York in 2012, we produced some of the stock and kits ourselves. Handmade items proved to be very popular.

When Annie left the shop to become a teacher, Nicky and I took over the business. Over the years, it has provided an outlet for lots of ideas and creativity.

Through talking to our customers, we have found that a love of making is becoming ever more popular, especially making gifts for others.

This got us to thinking about sharing Nicky's projects and 'Create' is the result. In the future, she hopes to share her shed and invite people for classes.

In this book you will find instructions for many of Nicky's makes which we have sold in our shop in York over the years.

There is quite a range of abilities required for the projects. Some are good to make with children (marked EASY MAKE).

You might use some of the projects as basic ideas and create your own versions.
